Breaking: APC Postpones House of Representatives Primaries, Other Dates Unchanged

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of its House of Representatives primary election, originally scheduled for an earlier date, to Saturday, May 16, 2026.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, May 14, 2026, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON, confirmed that all other primary election dates for the 2027 General Elections remain unchanged.

According to the revised schedule, the House of Representatives primaries will now hold on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The Senate primaries are set for Monday, May 18, while State Houses of Assembly primaries will take place on Wednesday, May 20. Governorship primaries are scheduled for Thursday, May 21, and the presidential primary will hold on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The party urged all stakeholders and aspirants to take note of the adjusted timetable and prepare accordingly.
