The Ughelli South chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council, Olorogun Dr. Lucky Avweromre, to officially present the group’s action plan and reaffirm its dedication to advancing the All Progressives Congress (APC) agenda.

Speaking during the visit at the Council Chairman’s office in the Ughelli South Council Secretariat, the group’s Local Government Area Coordinator, Deacon Matthew Kwode, recalled that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors were duly inaugurated on March 24, 2026, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

He noted that following the inauguration, he was appointed as the LGA Coordinator alongside 11 ward coordinators.

“After our inaugural meeting, we were mandated to visit party stakeholders across the LGA. Before meeting other stakeholders, we considered it necessary to first interface with you as the Chairman of the Local Government Area,” Kwode stated.

He expressed gratitude to the Council Chairman for his unwavering support of the group, noting that this commitment reflects his alignment with the developmental strides of His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, in the Local Government Area.

Kwode explained that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ group waa established by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all progressive governors across the country.
“We are the representatives of Mr. President, the Governor, and the Council Chairman in the local government area. As people committed to driving the dream of our party, the APC, we are here to build capacity around you as the closest to us, and by extension, our Governor and Mr. President.”
He clarified that the group is not a political party but an electoral tool of the APC designed to ensure the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori, as well as to promote the good works being done in Ughelli South LGA.
“It’s one party, one message, and one mobilisation. We are also here to unveil our action plans, centred on consolidating on the gains of Mr. President, among others,” he added.
In his response, Hon. Dr. Lucky Avweromre described Governor Oborevwori as a God-sent leader to Delta State.
He noted that the MORE agenda would be seamlessly linked to the Renewed Hope agenda, as all projects are cited in communities where residents are direct beneficiaries.
“The Renewed Hope Ambassadors should be up and doing. This is not the time to look inward but to look outwardly. We should all work with respect, more energy, and more technicality. However, your major work begins after the primary election,” Avweromre said.
He praised President Tinubu as a master of the game, adding, “It is our responsibility to elect him again, and the same applies to our amiable governor. As the foot soldiers of Mr. President and our dear governor in the local government area, we are ready to work with you to succeed.”
The Council Chairman advised the group to view the party as an umbrella under which the Renewed Hope Ambassadors operate, in order to avoid duplication of duties and ensure a unified approach to their mission.
