Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has paid glowing tribute to Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, on his 72nd birthday, hailing the cleric’s far-reaching impact on faith, education and nation-building as truly timeless.
In a warm goodwill message released on Sunday in Asaba through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor praised Oyedepo for decades of tireless service that have ignited hope and purpose in millions across Nigeria and around the globe.
Oborevwori described the revered spiritual leader as a rare treasure to Christendom, whose powerful teachings, mentorship and unwavering devotion have moulded successive generations of believers.
He also celebrated the Bishop’s bold investment in education through the founding of Covenant University and Landmark University, institutions he said have risen as beacons of academic excellence, character formation and youth empowerment.
“Bishop Oyedepo is not only a father in the faith but also a role model whose life of service, integrity and visionary leadership continues to inspire millions, including me,” the Governor stated.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate our father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo, as he marks 72 remarkable years of a life dedicated to God and humanity.
“Your commitment to nation-building, spiritual guidance and the empowerment of youths through quality education is truly commendable. We remain proud of your accomplishments and grateful for the positive influence you have had on countless lives.”
Oborevwori prayed that God would continually renew the Bishop’s strength, grant him robust health and pour out fresh grace for many more fruitful years of service to the Church and humanity.
