A London jury has acquitted Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, of all six bribery charges.

The verdict, delivered on Wednesday, concludes a notable corruption trial involving a prominent former energy official.

Alison-Madueke, who served as minister from 2010 to 2015 during President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, had faced five counts of accepting bribes and one charge of conspiracy to commit bribery. She consistently denied all allegations.
