Oborevwori Felicitates Senator Joel-Onowakpo on 59th Birthday

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, who represents Delta South Senatorial District, as he marks his 59th birthday.

The governor’s message of goodwill was conveyed in a statement released on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.

In the statement, Oborevwori praised the lawmaker for his enduring contributions to the progress and development of Delta State.

The governor noted that Senator Joel-Onowakpo, who previously served as Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Council and later as Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, made a remarkable impact in public service through policies that enhanced the state’s revenue generation and fortified its fiscal foundation.

Oborevwori also commended the senator’s legislative performance in the National Assembly, with particular emphasis on his leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content.

He observed that the senator’s legislative activities have continued to strengthen democratic governance and advance national development.

Furthermore, the governor lauded the senator’s role in the passage of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko (Establishment) Act, describing his work in the Senate as highly commendable.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate my dear brother and the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, FCA, on the occasion of his 59th birth anniversary,” the governor said.

He added that the senator has remained steadfast in his commitment to public service, demonstrating hard work, focus, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of the people.

Oborevwori prayed for divine guidance, protection, and good health for the celebrant, and wished him many more years of meaningful service to the nation.
