A legal practitioner and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, Barrister Collins Ogochuku Osagu, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori following the ranking of Delta State as the second most governed state in Nigeria by the Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS).

Osagu described the recognition as a well-deserved testament to the governor’s commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, prudent resource management, and the overall welfare of the people of Delta State.

Speaking in a statement made available to journalists, the APC chieftain noted that the CIAPS ranking reflects the positive impact of Governor Oborevwori’s administration and the effective implementation of his MORE Agenda, which has continued to drive development across the state.

According to him, governance should always be assessed based on performance and tangible results, rather than political affiliations, stressing that Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated remarkable leadership in delivering democratic dividends to Deltans.

“The ranking of Delta State as the second most governed state in Nigeria is a clear indication that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is on the right path. This achievement is not accidental but the result of purposeful leadership, dedication, and a genuine commitment to the growth and development of the state,” Osagu said.

He commended the governor for the numerous infrastructure projects being executed across the three senatorial districts, as well as the administration’s investments in education, healthcare, security, youth empowerment, and economic development.

Osagu further stated that the recognition by CIAPS should serve as encouragement for the governor and his team to sustain the current pace of development and continue implementing policies that improve the living standards of residents.

The APC stalwart urged political leaders and stakeholders in the state to place the interest of Delta above partisan considerations and support initiatives that promote peace, progress, and sustainable development.

He also praised the people of Delta State for their cooperation and support for government programmes, noting that meaningful development can only be achieved when citizens and government work together toward a common goal.

Osagu expressed confidence that with the current trajectory of governance and development, Delta State would continue to maintain its position as one of the leading states in the country.

The Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS), in its 2025 Governance Performance Index, ranked Delta State second among the 36 states of the federation, citing significant achievements in governance, infrastructure, public service delivery, and economic management.

He congratulated Governor Oborevwori, members of the State Executive Council, and the people of Delta State on the milestone, describing it as a collective achievement worthy of celebration.
