Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has offered his sincere sympathies to the family of Chief Solomon Arenyeka, the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the death of their beloved matriarch, Mrs. Felicia Oritselumewor Arenyeka.
In a message released through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described the loss of Mrs. Arenyeka as a profound blow, not only to her loved ones but also to the broader community that drew inspiration from her remarkable life.
Mrs. Arenyeka passed away on April 24, 2026, at the age of 91. She was a woman whose life was marked by resilience, wisdom, kindness, and an enduring commitment to her family and the service of others.
Governor Oborevwori extended his condolences to Chief Solomon Arenyeka, Barrister Victor Arenyeka—Director of Legal Services at the Niger Delta Development Commission—and all other members of the family.
He encouraged them to find comfort in the fact that their mother lived a full and purposeful life that touched many.
The governor noted that the longevity of the late matriarch and the indelible mark she left on her family and society are reasons for gratitude and celebration.
He also offered prayers for the peaceful rest of her soul.
