The people of Okpare Community in Olomu Kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, have warmly commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for recalling Hon. Reuben Izeze from suspension.
Until his suspension, Izeze serves as the Commissioner for Works in charge of Highways and Urban Roads.
In a statement issued on behalf of the community, Olorogun Moses Orhokpor (aka Olomu-Man), the Otota of Okpare Community and maternal uncle to the commissioner, expressed deep appreciation for the governor’s decision.
He described the recall as a demonstration of fairness, wisdom and commitment to justice.
Orhokpor noted that the community received the news with joy and a sense of relief.
He said the people of Okpare had followed developments closely and were grateful that the matter had been resolved in a manner that restored confidence in the administration.
According to the Otota, Hon. Izeze has remained a source of joy to the community through his dedicated service to the state.
The community believes the commissioner will continue to discharge his duties with renewed vigour and focus on delivering quality infrastructure across Delta State.
While thanking the Governor for all appointments given to sons and daughters of Okpare-Olomu community, Orhokpor further stated that the Community remains solidly behind his leadership.
He praised the governor’s people-oriented policies and urged residents to continue supporting the administration’s developmental efforts.
The community leader also used the opportunity to call for unity among the people of Olomu Kingdom and the wider Ughelli South Local Government Area.
He emphasised that collective support for government programmes would accelerate progress in the area.
Olorogun Moses Orhokpor reaffirmed the community’s loyalty to the state government and prayed for the continued success of Governor Oborevwori’s administration.
He expressed optimism that the recall would further strengthen the bond between the government and the people of Okpare.
