Hon. Arthur Okolosi was formally sworn in as the representative for Udu State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
His inauguration came after he won the bye-election held for the constituency on September 19, 2026, which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) successfully conducted.
During Tuesday’s plenary session, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, administered both the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Membership to Okolosi. The ceremony followed the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and the House Standing Orders.
Welcoming the newly inaugurated lawmaker, Speaker Guwor congratulated him on his election victory and induction into the Assembly. He pledged the full support of the House and encouraged Okolosi to collaborate with fellow members in pushing forward legislation and programmes that advance the progress and welfare of residents in Udu State Constituency and Delta State as a whole.
The seat had earlier been declared vacant by the Delta State House of Assembly on July 30, 2026, which cleared the path for the bye-election.
Okolosi is now set to join the other members of the eighth Delta State House of Assembly and actively participate in legislative work on behalf of his constituents.
