The Unique Sound Minds Initiative (USMI) has pledged an overwhelming cascade of votes and unwavering grassroots mobilisation behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr. Ator Okolosi for the forthcoming September 19, 2026 bye-election into the Delta State House of Assembly, Udu Constituency.
The high-stakes consultative visit took place at the residence of Olorogun Eddie Ono-Sorhue on Ogodogun Street, Ovwian, in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, where the air was charged with strategic determination and an unmistakable demand for absolute victory.
Addressing the gathering with iron-clad authority, Olorogun Eddie Ono-Sorhue declared that the time for half-hearted commitments had long expired.
He charged every leader present to treat the forthcoming contest as a decisive battlefield, insisting that anything short of delivering over 80 percent of the votes from their units and wards would amount to an unforgivable betrayal of the collective mandate.
“We did not assemble here for empty rhetoric,” he stated. “We demand total dominance at the polling units. Every street, every compound, every ward must be brought under the APC banner with an overwhelming majority that leaves no room for opposition recovery.”
Echoing and intensifying that call, Olorogun Sir Richard Odibo spoke with equal severity, warning that the credibility of the entire structure rested on measurable results rather than mere attendance.
He described the 80 percent target as a non-negotiable threshold that would separate genuine mobilizers from pretenders. “Leaders who fail to deliver this threshold will have exposed their own weakness,” Odibo asserted.
“This is not a suggestion; it is a binding directive. The Unique Sound Minds Initiative will not tolerate lukewarm performance when the destiny of Udu Constituency hangs in the balance.”
Earlier in the proceedings, Olorogun Igho Akpojotor set the tone by explaining the dual purpose of the visit with deliberate clarity.
He stated that the group had come first to formally salute the members of the Unique Sound Minds Initiative for the solid and unwavering support they rendered during the APC primary election, support that had proven instrumental in consolidating the party’s internal strength.
Looking ahead, he emphasised that the same support should now be magnified and redirected toward the September 19 bye-election.
“We are here to convert past solidarity into an unstoppable electoral force that will guarantee victory for our candidate.”
In a subsequent interaction with the APC standard-bearer, Mr Ator Okolosi, the candidate responded with measured gratitude tempered by steely resolve.
He acknowledged the initiative’s formidable pledge as a critical pillar of the campaign architecture and affirmed that such organised power, if fully activated, would translate into an impregnable majority at the polls.
Okolosi stressed that the promised vote harvest must be matched by disciplined execution on the ground, warning that complacency at this stage would be catastrophic. “I receive this commitment with deep appreciation,” he said.
