By Sunday Apah

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, inaugurated the Local Government and Ward Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors on Tuesday, significantly extending the movement’s reach into communities across the state.

The event, held in Asaba, was attended by senior government officials, party leaders, and key stakeholders.

Governor Oborevwori, represented by Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, stressed that appointing 25 Local Government and 270 Ward Coordinators establishes a crucial and organized connection between the government and citizens at the grassroots level.

“You are the lifeblood of Renewed Hope in our communities. This inauguration is more than recognition—it is an empowerment. It grants you the authority to act, the framework to operate, and the duty to deliver,” he stated.

“Today represents a pivotal moment for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Delta State. We are formally launching a grassroots network designed to bring our vision closer to the people and amplify its impact in every community.

“Our theme, *Our Party, One Message, One Mobilization*, captures the essence of our mission. It reminds us that our power lies in unity, discipline, and coordinated effort. We must speak with one voice, share one message, and mobilize with a single purpose.

“By inaugurating 25 Local Government and 270 Ward Ambassadors, we are creating a structured, accountable, and responsive network.

“Our ambassadors have a clear mandate: engage with residents, listen to their concerns, and communicate our vision clearly and convincingly; mobilize support with discipline, ensuring message consistency and coordinated action; and, above all, uphold accountability, recognizing that you represent the principles of service, unity, and hope.

“As you begin your work, you must also highlight the concrete achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope agenda. These successes show that Renewed Hope is not just a slogan—it is visible, measurable progress improving the lives of our people.

“From today, you serve as the face of Renewed Hope in every ward and every local government of Delta State.

“Let me emphasize: our success depends on unity. When we operate as one party—with one message and one mobilization—we become stronger, more effective, and unstoppable.

“The people of Delta State deserve a movement that is organized, responsive, and impactful. That is exactly what we are building today.

“I charge each of you: carry this message with pride, discipline, and unwavering commitment. Let your actions reflect our values, let your efforts strengthen our unity, and let your service bring renewed hope to every community.”

Former Delta State Governor and South-South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, explained that the initiative—established by President Tinubu in partnership with Governor Hope Uzodimma and other progressive governors—is a well-organized platform to lead public discourse, engage Nigerians, and communicate government policies and accomplishments.

He encouraged the ambassadors to work closely with ward chairpersons, executive members, councilors, and party leaders. He stressed the importance of clear communication to correct misinformation and explain reforms such as the fuel subsidy removal, which has increased revenue allocation, facilitated salary payments, and supported programs like the student loan scheme.

In a goodwill message, Delta State APC Chairman Chief Solomon Areyenka declared that the APC in the state is “advancing steadily toward success and victory.”

APC National Vice Chairman (South-South), Hon. Victor Giadom, reminded the ambassadors that leadership is local, noting that they are the direct representatives of the party and President Tinubu within their communities.

State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, described the inauguration as “a strategic milestone that establishes a strong, functional grassroots structure across all 25 local government areas and 270 wards.”

He urged the newly appointed ambassadors to perform their duties with dedication, unity, and integrity to further the Renewed Hope agenda in Delta State.
