Wheleke Commends Governor Oborevwori for Transformative Projects in Ughievwen Kingdom

Olorogun Prince Akporuru Patrick Wheleke, President General of Ughievwen Union, has lauded Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, for his administration’s developmental strides.

The Ughievwen Union, described as one of Nigeria’s oldest socio-cultural and socio-political organizations, serves as the apex governing body for the Ughievwen people.

Olorogun Wheleke specifically highlighted the governor’s impactful projects within Ughelli South Local Government Area, particularly in Ughievwen Kingdom.

Olorogun Wheleke who made this known at his country home in Otu-Jeremi Town while playing host to some prominent sons, daughters, and leaders of Ughievwen Kingdom, used the occasion to express gratitude for the state government’s focused attention on their infrastructure needs.

Wheleke, who also holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Urhobo President General Forum, pointed to several key projects that have garnered local approval.

He specifically thanked Governor Oborevwori for approving the construction of internal street roads in Imode community and Okwagbe.

Furthermore, he highlighted the critical Udu/Ughievwen road project, which runs from the Express junction through Ekakpamre to the area formerly known as Ubalegbe junction, now referred to as ECN.

Olorogun Wheleke did not mince words in his historical assessment, offering a robust endorsement of the current administration’s performance. He stated that the state has “not had it so good” in terms of development since its creation.

The Ughievwen leader also extended his gratitude to other key officials instrumental in realizing these projects. He particularly thanked the Honourable Member Representing Ughelli South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Festus Eseoghene Utuama and Honourable Commissioner for Works (Highways & Urban Roads), Comrade Reuben Yakubu Izeze Esq., for their tireless efforts in ensuring these initiatives moved from approval to implementation.

Wheleke offered prayers for divine protection, grace, and mercy upon the two illustrious sons of Ughievwen Kingdom and the administration throughout their tenure and beyond.

He assured Governor Oborevwori’s administration of the unwavering and continued support of the entire Ughievwen Kingdom.
