Delta Lands Commissioner Facilitates Community Development in Igbide with Market Upgrade, School Pavilion

Residents of Igbide Kingdom in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State have praised the Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Surveys, Chief Emamusi Obiodeh, for initiating essential development projects within the community.

The initiatives involve the refurbishment of a local market and the establishment of a new pavilion at Owodokpokpo Grammar School.

The upgraded market is anticipated to stimulate local trade and support small business owners, whereas the school pavilion will offer a dedicated area for educational and communal events.

Both projects, situated in Owodokpokpo-Igbide, were financed personally by Chief Obiodeh as a component of his commitment to social responsibility.

During a review of the finished work, Chief Obiodeh highlighted his dedication to enhancing community welfare and supporting regional progress.

He thanked the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the chance to contribute to public service, adding that the governor’s focus on development motivates officials to execute beneficial projects statewide.

The Commissioner encouraged Igbide Kingdom inhabitants to maintain harmony and cooperation, underscoring that a peaceful environment is crucial for continued growth.

He also requested ongoing community backing for Governor Oborevwori’s government, whose initiatives have brought measurable benefits to Igbide, the Isoko region, and the entire state.

Leaders and community members conveyed their appreciation to Chief Obiodeh for prioritizing his hometown and tackling important local needs.

They observed that the market will bolster commerce, especially for women and local vendors, while the school pavilion will improve both academic and recreational opportunities.
