Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Obi (Dr) Emmanuel Efeizomor II, OON, the Obi of Owa Kingdom, as the distinguished traditional ruler celebrates his 88th birthday.
In a statement released in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori praised the monarch as one of the state’s most esteemed and impactful traditional leaders, highlighting his significant contributions to the advancement of his kingdom and Delta State as a whole.
The Governor observed that Obi Efeizomor II has consistently provided wise, dedicated, and exemplary leadership to the Owa Kingdom while also playing a meaningful role in the broader developmental progress of the state.
He applauded the royal father for his steadfast dedication to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Owa people, noting that he remains a respected paternal figure and an inspiration to many within and outside the kingdom.
Governor Oborevwori also recognized the notable transformation experienced by the Owa Kingdom under the monarch’s reign, especially in infrastructure and human capital development—advancements that have reinforced the community’s socio-economic growth.
Additionally, the Governor commended Obi Efeizomor II for his service as the immediate past Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, a tenure distinguished by wisdom, humility, and a deep commitment to fostering peace and unity among the state’s traditional institutions.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate His Royal Majesty, Obi (Dr) Emmanuel Efeizomor II, OON, on the joyous occasion of his 88th birth anniversary,” Governor Oborevwori stated.
He concluded with prayers for God’s continued blessings upon the monarch, wishing him many more years in good health, strength, and wisdom as he continues to serve his kingdom, Delta State, and humanity.
