His Royal Majesty, Matthew Ediri Egbi, Owahwa II, the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, has congratulated Olorogun Ese Kakor on his appointment and subsequent swearing-in as the Director General of the Delta State Local Content Agency.
The monarch through an official congratulatory message released from the Ughievwen Palace on Friday and signed by Olorogun Matthew Akpogbemre Shaire, Clan Otota of Ughievwen Kingdom; Olorogun John Okoro, the Secretary of the Kingdom’s Council of Chiefs; and Olorogun Sunday Apah, the Director General, Media and Publicity, Ughievwen Kingdom Palace.
Olorogun Ese Kakor was sworn into the pivotal role earlier on Thursday by the Executive Governor of Delta State.
The agency he now leads is tasked with a critical mandate: formulating and enforcing policies that promote the participation of indigenous Delta State businesses and workforce in the state’s economy, particularly within key sectors like oil, gas, and construction.
In the statement, the Okobaro expressed profound confidence in Kakor’s ability to excel in this new capacity.
The monarch highlighted the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Kakor’s proven track record, dedication to public service, and deep understanding of local economic dynamics.
The Okobaro urged the new Director General to view his position as an opportunity to drive substantial and inclusive growth.
He emphasized the need for policies that would translate into tangible economic empowerment, skills development, and greater opportunities for the people of Delta State.
