2027: Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu Federal Constituency Forum Holds Integration Meeting, Endorses Tinubu, Oborevwori for Second Term

The Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu Federal Constituency Forum held an integration meeting on Sunday to unite old and new APC members, during which they endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for a second term in 2027.

Speaking at the meeting, which was attended by top APC leaders, Olorogun John Unukebo Oguma, Chairman of the Forum, stated that the gathering was intended to integrate longstanding members and newcomers to the party.

He explained that the Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu Federal Constituency Forum was formed to consolidate support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s bid for a second term.

While commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for their developmental strides since taking office, he noted that the need for integration was highlighted after their transition to the APC.

Earlier, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode, Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, welcomed all members of the U3 Forum to Udu.

He stated that Udu is a peaceful local government area that is very ready to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s bid for a second term.

He urged members to embrace the ongoing INEC voter registration exercise in order to boost the voting strength of the federal constituency.

Olorogun Eddie Ono-Sorhue, Vice Chairman of the U3 Forum; Hon. Dr. Chris Oghenechovwen, former House of Representatives member; Chief Sam Kowho; Mrs. Tina Kpohraro; Mrs. Ufuoma Edewor; Chief Mrs. Alice Jegede; and Chief Hope Ejiro, Youth Leader of the U3 Forum, all supported the integration idea.

According to them, “It’s historic that the old and new APC are coming together to unite under the U3 Forum. This reunion will galvanize the party’s efforts for a better performance in 2027.”

“We believe the U3 Forum will nurture the APC towards victory, making this integration essential.”

The member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, moved the motion for the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, stating that both leaders have performed admirably in their respective roles.

He highlighted notable achievements, including the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre and the College of Nursing and Midwifery, asserting that if re-elected, they would continue to excel.

 

He also praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for transforming the state into a construction site, with developmental projects spanning all 25 Local Government Areas through his M.O.R.E Agenda.

He also urged movers of the U3 Forum to mobilise their people for the ongoing INEC Registration exercise which he said will boost voting strength of the federal Constituency to enable him lobby for development projects and others to the constituency.

The motion was seconded by Hon. Matthew Omonade, who represents Ughelli North Constituency I.

Olorogun John Oguma, who presided over the motion, stated that since there was no opposition, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori have now been nominated as the sole APC candidates for President and Governor in 2027.
