2027: Ukodo Nation Holds Inaugural Meeting, Endorses Tinubu, Oborevwori for Second Term

Ahead of the 2027 elections, Ukodo Nation, Delta Central Chapter, has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for a second term.

The endorsement was done during the group’s inaugural meeting held at Uvwie Kingdom Hall in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, on Wednesday 22nd October, 2025.

The group pledged to mobilize grassroots support to achieve their electoral goals.

The motion for endorsement was introduced by Rt. Hon. Henry Eghwubare, former leader of Ethiope West Legislative Arm, and seconded by Rt. Hon. Sunday Apah, SSA to the Governor on Media and former leader of Ughelli South Local Government Council Legislative Arm.

Eghwubare and Apah articulated the reasons behind the motion, stating that President Tinubu’s economic policies are gradually stabilizing the nation’s economy.

They highlighted that Governor Oborevwori has made significant strides in key areas of development, particularly in infrastructure.

“Delta State is now a construction hub, with major construction firms such as Julius Berger actively building bridges and flyovers across the three senatorial districts,” they noted.

In his opening speech, Chief Dr. Morrison Olori, the State Chairman of Ukodo Nation, emphasized that the group has come to stay in the political landscape of Delta State.

He recounted that in preparation for the group’s formation, he and other top leaders met with former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and received his blessings along with promises of total support.

Olori urged members to take the message of re-electing President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori to their respective local government areas, wards, and units, reminding them that elections are decided by the people.

The State Vice Chairman and Chairman of Ukodo Nation, Delta Central, High Chief (Hon) Roy Grant Oke, reiterated the group’s objective to mobilize support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.

He encouraged members to embrace the group’s aims and objectives to make Ukodo Nation a household name in the state.

Other speakers included Olorogun Solomon Obareki, SSA on Political Matters to the Governor and Coordinator for the group in Ethiope West Local Government Area; Dcn Raymond Edijala, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring and Coordinator in Udu; Hon. Saturday Mofoye, Vice Chairman of the group in Delta Central; and Olorogun Godwin Sito, Coordinator for the group in Ughelli South Local Government Area. They all pledged to align their efforts with the group’s goals.

They also urged members to treat the group’s activities with utmost seriousness to ensure a smooth re-election for both President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori in 2027.

Attendance at the meeting included Chief Mike Okenini, Elo Sarah, Mr. Victor Akaba, Chief Igho Erhabor, Mr. Godstime Odjema, Chief Edmond Ofudje, Ajejevwe Eloho, Adidi Godstime, Anibema Lucky, Obatavwe Rose, Prince Nicholas Makolomi, Mr. Bright Izete, Comrade Yakubu Dikeji, Hon. James Emanerame, Hon. Steven Odiobara, Ufuoma Emeyerakpo, Ayavwigho Gloria, and several others.
