The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Deacon Matthew Kwode, has stated that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda is helping poor Deltans achieve prosperity.

Speaking at a gathering at the residence of Olorogun John Oguma in Ovwor-Olomu, Kwode articulated how the M.O.R.E initiative extends beyond infrastructure projects like bridges and flyovers, aimed at uplifting the economically disadvantaged sectors of society toward prosperity.

“The M.O.R.E Agenda is not just about constructing physical structures; it is about creating pathways for the marginalized and poor citizens of Delta to attain a better quality of life,” Kwode emphasized at the event.

According to him, “The state government led by Governor Oborevwori is committed to fostering growth and development in the state by targeting poverty alleviation alongside infrastructural expansion.”

During the presentation, Kwode also praised the Delta State House of Assembly for their collaborative spirit, stating that the legislature has played a crucial role in creating a conducive environment for the executive to pursue its agenda effectively.

“The partnership between the executive and legislative arms of government is key to ensuring that developmental projects are executed smoothly,” he said, noting that such harmony is essential for the state’s progress.

Key components of the M.O.R.E Agenda were elaborated upon by Kwode, highlighting four pivotal pillars: Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.

“Through Meaningful Development, we are focused on implementing significant projects that add value to people’s lives,” Kwode stated, affirming the administration’s aim to prioritize initiatives with a real impact on the community.

Moreover, Kwode asserted that the key principle of “Opportunities for All” is fundamental to ensuring an inclusive government. “Governor Oborevwori’s led administration has been marked by transparency and responsiveness, ensuring that every citizen feels a sense of belonging and shared prosperity,” he noted, reflecting a genuine desire to bridge societal gaps.

With a focus on sustainability, Kwode addressed the necessity of Realistic Reforms. “Oborevwori has built upon the successes of the previous administration while promoting reforms that are not only impactful but also realistic in moving Delta State forward,” he said, conveying optimism about the state’s trajectory under the current leadership.

The discussion also touched on Enhanced Peace and Security. Recognizing the role that peace plays in the social and economic lifeblood of the state, Kwode reiterated that a secure environment is vital for fostering community engagement and encouraging investment. “When citizens feel safe, they can confidently contribute to the state’s economic growth. And that is exactly what Governor Oborevwori has done with the launch of the Security Trust Fund,” he affirmed.

Kwode expressed his admiration for Olorogun John Oguma and his vice, Hon. Dr. Chris Oghenechovwen, for their seamless efforts in leading the political class in Ughelli South.

He also commended the U3 youths, led by Hope Ejiro, for their impactful initiatives aimed at uniting the youth across Federal Constituencies through various programs and town hall meetings.
