Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Confirmed sources told DAILY SHINE that the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, along with 22 other legislators, has also submitted their resignations from the opposition party.
Governor Diri’s departure from the PDP follows closely on the heels of Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah’s switch to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) just a day prior.
At this time, Governor Diri has not announced his future plans.
