It was a gathering of who’s who in society as Dr. Timothy Waive, the son of Hon. Rev’d Francis Ejiroghene Waive, member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, tied the knot with Dr. Oluwatoyin Coker in grand style.

The well-planned marriage ceremony between Oluwatoyin Coker and Timothy Waive began at the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Tinubu Square, Lagos.

The couple had earlier fulfilled the traditional wedding rites, where the bride’s and other rights were performed by both families. As the newlywed couple begins a new life, their hope is to sustain the sizzling romance until the end of time.

In his address, Rt. Rev. (Prof.) S.T.V. Adegbite, Bishop of the Diocese of Ikeja, General Secretary of NCPC, and Chaplain of Aso Rock Chapel, advised the newlyweds to be prayerful in their day-to-day living.

He stated that they should adhere to their marriage vows enshrined in the Bible and the Methodist Church of Nigeria’s laws.

He expressed confidence that with the guidance from the father of the groom, Rt. Hon. Rev’d Francis Ejiroghene Waive, and the Christian background of the bride, they will be adequately guided in their Christian journey.

At the reception, the chairman of the ceremony, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, Member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, urged the newlyweds to always embrace understanding. He emphasized that if challenges arise in their home, they should be able to sit down and discuss them.

“I want to specifically advise the man to do everything to show love to the woman. They should respect and love one another, treating each other with kindness, and ensure that God is the foundation of their home,” he said.

Dr. Timothy Waive, in an interview, stated, “I’ve married a very kind-hearted, loving, and good person, and I count myself blessed for this. I’m happy that everything has gone well, and I’m excited about the life we will be building together.”

Dr. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Coker-Waive, for her part, thanked God for making the day possible and gave Him all the glory.

Both parents of the groom and bride, Hon. Rev’d and Mrs. Francis Ejiroghene Waive and Mr. and Mrs. Coker, in their respective statements, advised the couple to prioritize the fear of God and to make their family their top priority in every situation.
