He extended his thanks to Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi for his unwavering support and endorsement during the 2023 election campaign, acknowledging the backlash the Bishop faced for standing by him. “Some labeled you a traitor for following God and openly backing me,” he stated.
The Governor showcased the ongoing flyover projects and various developmental initiatives throughout the state as proof of his administration’s dedication to delivering tangible outcomes for the people. He remarked, “The presence of this flyover is evidence of the good decisions made through God’s guidance, and it will earn respect for those who supported me,” emphasizing the significance of righteous choices.
While discussing the agenda of his administration, labeled the MORE agenda, Governor Oborevwori reiterated his commitment to advancing developmental projects that enhance the lives of Deltans. “I assure you that we will continue to serve you in accordance with God’s will. I ask for your continued prayers for our success, particularly for those of us in positions of authority, to remain focused,” he urged.
Earlier, Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi lauded Governor Oborevwori for his impactful contributions across the three senatorial districts. He described the Governor as a unifying figure who transcends ethnic boundaries in service to the people. The Bishop praised the Governor’s strong leadership and impressive infrastructure initiatives, particularly highlighting the recent approval for a flyover at Otovwodo Junction in Ughelli.
He commended the Governor for initiating road construction contracts in the area, which has greatly pleased the community, stating that the most effective way the Governor has rebutted criticism is through visible projects.
The Bishop also recognized Olorogun Jaro Egbo, the Ughelli North Local Council chairman, for his effective leadership.
In a sermon titled “Living for Christ,” the Bishop called for repentance, urging those engaged in wrongdoing to seek a transformative encounter with Christ.
