Former Chairmanship aspirant for Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Lucky Oweimieotu, has been bestowed with the revered chieftaincy title of ‘Kuroagbe’ of Ogbolubiri Mein Kingdom.
The event, which drew significant attention from community leaders, dignitaries, and well-wishers, took place at the palace of the monarch of Ogbolubiri Mein Kingdom.
HRM Pere Polokowei Johnbull, Apiarogun Ongolo I of Ogbolubiri Mein Kingdom, while conferring the title, lauded Chief Oweimieotu’s contributions to the kingdom as a husband to to one of their daughters, Princess Mrs. Kes Gomoromo Oweimieotu.
“This title is not just a recognition of your past efforts but also a call to continue championing the well-being of our people,” the Pere declared emphatically.
Oweimieotu, dressed in traditional regalia, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him.
He acknowledged the overwhelming support he has received from his family, friends, and the community, stating, “This title inspires me to further dedicate myself to the service of our people and to promote peace and development in our kingdom.”
In his remarks, Oweimieotu promised to foster unity within Ogbolubiri Mein Kingdom and work towards addressing the pressing issues that affect the community.
He highlighted plans to engage the youth in meaningful projects and programs that would spur local development. “Together, we can achieve great things for our people,” he urged, calling on everyone to join hands for collective progress.
Chiefs from Olomu and Ughievwen Kingdoms who attended the ceremony emphasized that such titles help to strengthen communal ties and encourage individuals to take an active role in their communities.
