Mrs. Bethel Akpokiboro Avweromre (née Ofuedje), the late mother of the Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council, has been scheduled for burial on August 8, 2025.
In a statement signed by her son, Hon. Dr. Lucky Avweromre, Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council, the burial ceremony will begin on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, with a Service of Songs at her residence in LA Quarters, Ewu Town, at 4 PM.
On Friday, August 8, 2025, at 8:00 AM, her remains will leave Ufor Hospital Mortuary in Ughelli and make a brief stop at her husband’s residence in LA Quarters. Following this, the procession will move in a motorcade to her family compound on Ekraro Street, also in Ewu Town.
At 10:00 AM on August 8, there will be a church service at St. Luke Anglican Church, Ewu Town, followed by interment at her residence in LA Quarters.
According to the statement, there will be entertainment for guests and in-laws at Eghereka Primary School, Ewu Town, starting at 1:00 PM.
The statement noted that on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM, there will be an outing and thanksgiving service at All Saints Anglican Church in LA Quarters, Ewu Town.
It is worth noting that Mrs. Bethel Akpokiboro Avweromre passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 91.
She hailed from the families of the late Chief Ofuedje Abemor and the late Mrs. Eyakumagba Akprasi, both of Ewu Town in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
