The Governor of Delta State’s wife and founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, is actively continuing food distribution efforts as part of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Food Outreach Scheme, a federal government social investment program spearheaded by the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (CON).
During a distribution event at the Government House in Asaba on Wednesday, Deaconess Oborevwori presented 3,000 bags of semolina and 2,500 cartons of pasta to 400 households in Delta State.
This event marks a significant extension of previously conducted food distribution initiatives under the same program.
“Several months ago, this outreach began with a smaller distribution. Today, I am privileged, on behalf of Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to extend this generous initiative to a broader segment of our community,” Deaconess Oborevwori remarked.
She applauded the Renewed Hope Initiative for its positive influence on the lives of ordinary Nigerians and expressed appreciation for Senator Tinubu’s empathetic leadership.
“We can all witness that the Renewed Hope Initiative is consistently instilling hope in Nigerians. This effort will undoubtedly reach those in the grassroots level,” she emphasized.
The Delta First Lady urged both recipients and the wider community to support the program with prayers and positive energy.
“We sincerely hope that this empowerment effort continues to expand, reaching every household in Delta State. Let us all remain optimistic for even more advancements under this administration,” she concluded.
In her welcome address, the Deputy Governor’s wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, who was represented by the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, praised Deaconess Oborevwori for enhancing collaboration with the President’s wife, a partnership that has delivered meaningful assistance to vulnerable groups in Delta State.
Beneficiaries of the outreach, including visually impaired individuals, those with physical disabilities, orphans, elderly citizens, and other marginalized groups, expressed gratitude to both the First Lady of Nigeria and Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori for this impactful initiative.
The Renewed Hope Initiative, led by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is a key social intervention program under the Federal Government aimed at improving the lives of Nigeria’s underserved communities through initiatives in health, welfare, education, and economic support.
