Governor Oborevwori Celebrates Dame Nkem Okwuofu on Her 75th Birthday

The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dame Nkem Okwuofu, the former Chairperson of the State Civil Service Commission, as she marks her 75th birthday.

In a statement released in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori commended the nurse-turned-politician for her loyalty, dedication, and steadfast commitment to the unity, growth, and development of Delta State.

The Governor expressed his happiness that Dame Okwuofu continues to be a source of strength and support for the state’s advancement, even at this stage of her life.

He honored Okwuofu’s exceptional legacy of service, describing her as a capable leader, an effective administrator, and a devoted citizen whose significant contributions to Delta State and its residents will leave a lasting impact.

Oborevwori stated, “On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I am genuinely joyful to congratulate you, our esteemed mother and leader, Dame Nkem Okwuofu, on the occasion of your 75th birthday today.

“Having embarked on your political journey many years ago, you have gained the respect and admiration of countless individuals, not only as a distinguished nurse but also through your service as a commissioner in various ministries.

“The Obomkpa–Ukwu-Nzu Road and the accompanying erosion control initiatives are just a couple of examples of the numerous infrastructure projects you have successfully attracted to your community, promoting growth and prosperity.”

He concluded by joining her family and well-wishers in celebrating this significant milestone, offering thanks to the Almighty for His continued blessings, protection, and guidance throughout her life.

“I also pray for your enduring health and wish you many more years of meaningful service to God and humanity,” he expressed.
