Chief Oghenekome Okpobor, Executive Director of Finance and Administration at DESOPADEC and the organizer of Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff, has made a significant contribution to Isoko Nation by providing financial support to more than 300 individuals.
This initiative, held at the Isoko Unity Hall in Oleh, offered cash gifts of N100,000 each to randomly selected beneficiaries from the 24 electoral wards in Isoko North and South Local Government Areas.
During the event, Chief Okpobor stressed the importance of supporting Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s Renewed Hope for More Agenda and the progressive vision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State. He encouraged the recipients to use the financial aid wisely to grow their businesses and increase their profits.
Among the notable attendees who praised Chief Okpobor for his commendable effort were Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, and Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, former Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council. Other distinguished individuals present included Hon.
Chief Frank Esiwo Ozue, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters and Director General of Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff, as well as Chief Erezi Okpomo, Executive Assistant to Governor Oborevwori on Beautification.
Chief Frank Ozue lauded Chief Okpobor for his initiative, referring to him as a true and honorable representative of Isoko Nation. Chief Erezi Okpomo additionally urged the beneficiaries to rally behind Governor Oborevwori in his 2027 election campaign, emphasizing the governor’s contributions to the community.
Beneficiaries, such as Mrs. Christiana Ogaga from Owhelogbo, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chief Okpobor and the Okugbe Isoko organization. Mrs. Ogaga offered prayers for Chief Okpobor’s continued success and encouraged others to follow his admirable example.
The event also drew the attendance of Hon. Emakpor Odogu, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Development and Spokesman of Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff, who commended Chief Okpobor for his leadership and called on the people of Isoko Nation to unify in support of Governor Oborevwori’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
