Oborevwori Approves Seminar/Workshop for Delta Community Newspapers

Delta State Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved a seminar and workshop for publishers of community newspapers in Delta State.

The seminar and workshop are scheduled for May 20th, 2025, at Hotel Benizia in Asaba, starting promptly at 9am.

This was announced in a press release signed by Comrade Prince Orhomonokpaye, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oborevwori on Community Newspapers.

He stated that the training session for local media personnel is by invitation only.

According to the statement, the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe Oghara, Prof. Ufuophu-Biri, will lead a lecture focusing on effective reporting related to the achievements of the M.O.R.E. Agenda under Governor Oborevwori’s administration.

He pointed out that the objective of the training is to improve the reporting skills of local media members and to commemorate the Governor’s second anniversary, which falls on May 29th, 2025.

“This initiative aims to equip participants with modern reporting techniques and enable them to effectively educate grassroots communities with reliable news and information.”

“All invited community newspaper publishers and guests are requested to be seated by 8:30am on May 20th, 2025, at the specified venue,” it added.
