Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has warmly congratulated Chief Eddie Ono-Sorhue, the former Chairman of the old Okpe Local Government Council, in honor of his 81st birthday on May 2, 2025.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor praised Chief Ono-Sorhue as a devoted patriot, an esteemed administrator, and a respected leader who has consistently provided selfless service to the people of Udu, Delta State, and beyond.

“As you celebrate this occasion, your life stands as a testament to exceptional leadership and steadfast commitment to public service, evidenced by your contributions, particularly as a member of the State Advisory and Peace Building Council.
“Your humility and dedication to the welfare of your community have shone brightly throughout your tenure, especially in your efforts within the Udu Local Government Area.
“On this special day, I join your family and friends in thanking the Almighty God for His grace, protection, and blessings that have accompanied you on your fulfilling journey of 81 years.”
