The Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency Forum has voiced its strong endorsement of Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s recent transition to the All Progressives Congress (APC), characterizing it as a courageous and forward-thinking decision with significant benefits for the citizens of Delta State.
Governor Oborevwori, along with the entire structure of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, officially joined the APC on Monday, ushering in a new era for the state’s political framework.
The Forum’s Chairman, Olorogun John Oguma, expressed unwavering support for the governor’s political shift, deeming it a strategic move that paves the way for enhanced developmental resources for Deltans.
“This is a bold and well-considered decision by our Governor. It transcends party politics; it is about delivering improved outcomes and uncovering new opportunities for our people.
“We believe this defection will create pathways for greater federal assistance and promote better collaboration in governance,” Oguma remarked.
He reassured members of the Forum of their continued support for the governor, affirming confidence in his capability to fulfill his commitments within the new political framework.
“Our Forum is dedicated to backing him. We urge all constituents to remain united during this new phase of our political journey. Our collective aim is the development, peace, and prosperity of all Deltans,” he stated.
Oguma also encouraged the people of Delta State to maintain their support for the governor’s MORE agenda, emphasizing that it remains active and is expected to be strengthened by the new political alignment.
